| Sheffield Teaspoon GalaVery early one damp dark September Sunday morning, a small group of sleepy Sandbach Sharks set off to make their way over the Pennine hills, battling over the misty tops of Buxton and down the other side to the city of Sheffield. There they fought long and hard in the Sheffield Teaspoon gala to produce some of the best swims of their lives.. |

Extracts from the Newsletter July 2007The year has seen numerous achievements in both team and open galas. Finalists in the Speedo league division 2 , winners of the division 3 of Deva and promotion to the second division and winners of the plain division in the peak and plain league. Open swimmers have gained numerous successes in the North Mids, Cheshires, Derby Open and many other Open galas too. We have a lot to celebrate and thank swimmers and coaches for. Special thanks goes of course to Sandy Foskett who has now moved on to St Ives, to Phil Eccles former Chairman and coach who is moving on to pursue other interests and to the rest of our dedicated coaching staff whom we rely on so heavily. |
